President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has called on the Black Starlets to remain disciplined and fully focused as they prepare for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

Ghana will compete in Group D of the tournament alongside Algeria, Senegal and South Africa, with their campaign set to begin on May 14 in what is expected to be a highly competitive group.

Speaking to the team before their departure to North Africa, Okraku commended the technical staff for their work in shaping the squad and urged the players to stay united and committed to the team’s objectives.

“The technical team has done its part, and I trust their guidance. Listen to them, stay disciplined, and play for each other. Success will follow if you remain focused and united,” he said.

The Black Starlets head into the competition on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mali in a preparatory friendly on Saturday, a result that offered valuable lessons ahead of the continental showdown.
