The 2019 edition of Kundum Festival Mega Jam Concert brought Axim to a standstill.

If you were not at the Victoria Park at Axim in the Western region on Saturday night, you truly missed.

You missed a concert that will go down as the best to have been organised in that part of the country in recent times.

All roads led to the Western regional coastal town for the Kundum Festival Mega Jam Concert which has now become an integral part of Axim’s entertainment calendar.

Every inch of space at the Victoria Park was chocked with teeming music lovers who came out in their numbers to have a memorable night of fun. And yes they got that in abundance!

Taking a cue from last year’s event, the 2019 edition of the concert was equally a star-studded one. 

Last year’s concert saw performances from Stonebwoy, D-Black, Wisa Greid, Kofi Kinaata, Kwesi Arthur, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, Dahlin Gage, Sefa, Freda Rhymz and Osayo among others.

This year, the Kundum Festival Mega Jam Concert, which climaxed the annual Kundum Festival, witnessed electrifying performances from D-Black, Patapaa, Kwaw Kese, Medikal, Bisa Kdei, Kofi Kinaata, Fameye, Sefa, Ms Forson and a host of others.

The acts took turns to do what they do best, thrill patrons to electrifying performances, even Catherine Afeku, Minister of State and Member of Parliament (MP) for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira, could not resist the temptation of dancing.

One of the memorable highlights was when she joined the leader of the Pa2Pa Soldiers, Patapaa in a dance battle. Madam Afeku has got moves!

The Mega Jam was followed by a Pool Party Jam at the Axim Beach Resort on Sunday.

The Kundum festival is celebrated by the Ahanta and Nzema people of the Western region of Ghana. It is celebrated to thank God for the abundance of food at harvest periods.

This year’s jams, powered by Livewire Events, were under the auspices of Catherine Afeku, Minister of State and MP for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira and Frank Okpeyen, Municipal Chief Executive, Nzema East.
