Police in Juaboso District are investigating the death of a 72-year-old woman, Agnes Dwomoh, whose body was found on her farm near Juaboso Nkwanta in the Western North Region.
According to a police situational report, the deceased had left home for her farm but did not return, raising concern among family members. A relative, Yaw Asante, subsequently reported her missing to the Juaboso Police.
The following morning, he returned to inform officers that she had been found dead on the farm.
Police, together with family members, visited the scene and discovered her lying face down near a tomato and vegetable plantation.
A preliminary examination showed no visible signs of violence. However, blood was observed around her mouth, and her artificial teeth had come off.
Assemblyman for Sefwi Juaboso, Frederick Gyabeng, confirmed the incident to Adom News, noting that although there were no visible injuries on the body, the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.
The body has since been conveyed to the Juaboso Government Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy, as police prepare coroner’s forms to determine the exact cause of death.
