Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber were all on target as Arsenal made it two wins from two in the UEFA Champions League league phase courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Lille.
The hosts struggled to carve out clear-cut chances against a well-drilled opposition in a goalless first half, but should have gone in front on 20 minutes when Bruno Guimaraes steered a first-time shot from 10 yards just wide.
Mikel Arteta’s men moved up a gear following the interval and a three-goal surge in seven minutes put paid to the Ligue 1 side’s hopes.
First, Timber polished off a neat move with a delicious, dinked finish in the 64th minute before Eze steered a deflected effort beyond Berke Ozer just three minutes later.
Substitute Saka added a third soon after with a simple strike to finish off a stunning team move and seal the three points, leaving them third in the table.
Next up, Arsenal head to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday prior to a huge UEFA Champions League showdown at Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Lille host Brest in Ligue 1 before another home encounter with Galatasaray in midweek.
