Speaking on the issue, Salinko highlighted the dangers of people using cameras to hurl insults at respected figures, including the President. He attributed the trend to self-proclaimed social commentators living abroad, whose behavior is now being copied by locals.

“What’s happening on social media is troubling. People, especially those living abroad, feel free to insult leaders and respected individuals, forgetting the impact it has back home. It’s pushing the youth to imitate this unruly behavior,” he said.

Salinko also noted that some individuals have already faced legal action for making reckless statements, including wishing harm on the President, Vice President, and their families.

He further called on political actors to promote clean politics, emphasizing that democracy should not be built on propaganda, insults, or disrespect.

“The country is ours, and we must protect it. Politics and democracy can be clean. We don’t have to tear each other down with disrespect,” Salinko stressed.

His comments contribute to growing calls for responsible social media use, as concerns mount about the impact of online misconduct on Ghana’s political and social harmony.

In an interview, the actor detailed how his career enabled him to acquire three prime plots of land in well-developed areas.

The lands, he disclosed, cost between GHC 20,000 and GHC 55,000 each when he acquired them about 10 years ago, with significant plans attached to each.

One plot is dedicated to a hospital project in Kwanta, a community Salinko envisioned representing as an MP.

Another, gifted to his mother, serves as a tribute to her, fulfilling a lifelong dream of land ownership.

The third is allocated for a housing project.

Salinko also mentioned owning a production factory, adding that he does not settle for low fees when signing ambassadorial deals. “I don’t charge less for deals. I really charge,” he stated, citing billboards as evidence of his marketability.

The celebration began with a touching church service at the Methodist Church, Haatso-Ecomog, where family and friends gathered to witness the joyful union.

Among them was the actor Don Little, who played a special role as Salinko’s groomsman, adding a delightful touch to the day with his charm and humor.

The ceremony was followed by a reception that was as colorful as it was intimate, hosted at a beautifully decorated private venue.

The poster shared by colleague actor, Don Little had the inscription What a shock on it, causing fear and panic among fans and followers.

It had Salinko’s photo and the name, Bantama Kwasi Boakye aged 36.

But the actor has said he is well, alive and there is no cause for alarm.

In an interview with Accra-based GHOne TV, Salinko who was full of gratitude to God for the gift of life happily danced and sang Obaapa Christy’s Me te ase song.

He explained the poster was for a project they are working on and must be disregarded.

“I’m not dead as reported. We are shooting a TV series and there is a scene where we had to make a poster announcing my death but Don Little shared it on his page and it went viral.

“I want to urge my fans and beloved people to be calm. But if there are such plans I cancel them in the name of Jesus and it shall never come to pass,” he declared.

Salinko opened up on a relationship with his ex-lover who deceived him into caring for a child that was not his.

According to him, he was initially excited about the news of being a father since they lost their first pregnancy.

Salinko recounted how he was supportive during the entire period of the pregnancy, and even housed his lover in his plush mansion in Kumasi while he stayed in Accra to work.

However, just four months after they birthed their child, the actor said his lover’s actions became questionable and there were controversies surrounding the paternity of the child.

Trouble began to brew when Salinko received a distressing call while working in Accra about a man who had stormed him house, accusing him of snatching his lover and child.

Shocked and upset, Salinko said he instructed his girlfriend to vacate his house while he returned to Accra to address the situation.

To his surprise, the accuser turned out to be someone he knew personally, and he was also a mutual friend to other Kumawood actors.

The confrontation prompted Salinko to demand an explanation from his ex-girlfriend, who, in the presence of her family, confessed to double dating.

“After I sent her packing, she brought in her father to apologise on her behalf. I told them I am already attached to the child so I will continue taking care until he grows and I can afford a DNA. But deep down, we all know I am not the father,” he said in an interview on Adom TV‘s Okukuseku.

In light of this experience, Salinko and his current wife have made a decision to avoid having mutual friends and to be cautious about entertaining new acquaintances.

Reflecting on his early background, Salinko revealed that, his initial aspiration was to pursue a career in law.

However, his inherent humor and comedic tendencies were apparent even during his school days.

This was the reason gospel musician, Noble Nketia introduced him to prestigious persons who organised standup comedy and film series.

In an interview on Adom TV’s Okukuseku, Salinko said Noble pitched him with a media house where he worked as a camera technician and editor.

His professionalism and hard work impressed the senior staff who in turn gave him more opportunities which saw him relocate from Kumasi to Accra.

The turning point in Salinko’s career came in 2012 when he was introduced to a sitcom titled “Barber and Shoeshine.”

Subsequently, Salinko landed roles in multiple series, rapidly ascending him to prominence in the entertainment industry.

Salinko expressed deep gratitude to Nobel Nketia, acknowledging the musician’s guidance and the myriad of opportunities he provided.

The renowned actor firmly believes that his current stature and success owe a great deal to Nketia’s mentorship.

This is because together with his ex-wife, they came to an amicable conclusion that they cannot go ahead with the marriage due to irreconcilable differences and decided to head for ‘Splitsville’.

In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, the Boys Abr3 actor said: “I have heard a few comments bashing her and I am not in the least amused at all because no one has the right to attack her for the failure of our union.”

“We just had issues with understanding each other and that is why we are where we are today, so I would not like anyone to blame her for anything. Initially, it was very difficult for both of us but now our hearts and minds are at peace and we have both accepted the current situation,” he added.

Contrary to the perception that Salinko’s marriage fell apart because of long distance, he revealed his ex-wife did not live abroad.

“She was not living outside the country, we were both here in Ghana but used to travel very often and that is why people are of the impression that she was living abroad.

“I would like to use this opportunity to advise young married couples to try and understand each other, once there is no misunderstanding between them, their marriage would work. Too many pieces of advice from family and friends do not always help. They are there to guide us but we should not fall too much on their counsel,” he said.

Salinko, real name Abraham Davis, is one person who loves to flaunt his partner on social media and he explained that his ex-wife was photogenic and loved to take pictures so he used to take advantage of that to show her off on social media and in public.

“One thing is that once I am in the limelight, my partner is most likely to be in the limelight too so that is what it is and has been all this while, I don’t have any problem ‘displaying’ my partners in public,” he said.

Asked if there is anything new cooking, Salinko, who has played fetish priest roles in many productions, said he was looking forward to starring in an action movie in the not-too-distant future.

“I have always wanted to be in an action film, a serious action film with no comedy. That is something I am hoping to do one of these fine days,’’ he added.

Just six years after they tied the knot in a private ceremony on September 7, 2017, Salinko said his wife opted out of their union for reasons best known to her.

According to him, his wife broke the news to him through her family that she was fed up of the marriage.

This is coming barely a few years after she publicly declared that “I have loved you this year and I will love you for many more years” during their wedding anniversary.

In an interview with Poleeno Multimedia, Salinko said his father-in-law sided with his daughter and efforts to get her return to her matrimonial home have been fruitless.

When asked if she was unsatisfied or if there were internal issues, the actor replied that “I won’t go into details because when I start spilling, she will attract enemies and same for me too.”

However, Salinko was quick to add that there was no maltreatment or domestic abuse incidents in their marriage neither is their divorce stemming from infidelity.

Following the split, he said he suffered severe mental struggles which nearly affected his business.

“I nearly went mad. The issue affected me so much that when I go to sell my wares at the market, I lose focus. I can sit still and not even notice a customer until I am prompted,” he said.

In all of this, Slinko said motivational messages and praying have helped him overcome the situation.

Salinko, Article Wan, Lilwin and some other entertainers visited the church while on vacation in the Arabian country.

Not only did they show up as guests, Salinko and Article Wan took over the drums set.

Though dressed like Arabians, Article Wan took over the bass drum and Salinko was in full control of the acoustic set.

The others assisted the host to sing powerful gospel songs meant to ascend the seventh gate of Heaven.

After the session, Jack Alolome took his turn to lead praises and worship session.

However, Salinko’s fame in the Kwmawood was short-lived to the surprise of the masses especially his fans.

Nonetheless, from the horse own mouth, Salinko has blamed his shoddy acting career on some heavyweights in the Ghanaian movie industry. Salinko says Agya Koo and Mercy Asiedu are the Kumawood celebrities to blame for his premature retirement in the movie industry.

According to him, he could not stay relevant for long in the movie industry because of rumours others (Agya Koo & Mercy Asiedu) were saying about him to some producers. The one-time budding comedian added that the division in the industry also stampedes the growth of some people coming into the industry.

The actor who stood for Parliamentary elections in the 2016 elections on the ticket of the PPP said people like Agya Koo, Mercy Asiedu are to be blamed for his failure in the movie industry.

He, however, failed to mentioned in what capacity these two detractors of his had affected his career. All that he could say was that the aforementioned Kumawood giants spread bad news about him to some movie producers.
