The Middle East branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has congratulated Sheikh T.B Damba on his appointment as the new Ambassador for Saudi Arabia.
“We the Middle East branch of the NPP wish to congratulate Sheik T.B Damba on his appointment as Ghana’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia…,” the stated.
In a press release copied to Adomonline.com, the group led by Mr Isaac Osae who is the Chairman expressed optimism that the newly appointed Ambassador would work to see to the welfare of Ghanaians in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“The Middle East in the recent times has not been very friendly to Ghanaian immigrants who have come to seek greener pastures, but we hope and believe the competence of Sheik Damba would be brought to bear in fostering a lasting cordial relationship between Ghana and our host nation in the gulf,” they said.
The group further pledged their ‘unflinching support’ for the Ambassador and wished him a ‘happy stay here as he works to lift up the flag of Ghana in the comity of nations’.
“On behalf of Ghanaian community in the Middle East, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to President Nana Akuffo Addo for appointing such a competent and hardworking Ghanaian, Sheik T.B Damba to represent the interest of our dear nation here in the Middle East,” the statement concluded.
