The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West and Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, has assured traders and businesses affected by the closure of the road around the Obetsebi Lamptey Roundabout that measures are being put in place to ease the impact.

According to her, a portion of the road could be reopened as early as Tuesday, September 8, to allow traders in the area to continue their businesses while construction works proceed.

Speaking to the media, the Deputy Minister appealed to the public, particularly motorists and traders, to cooperate with authorities as work on the project continues.

She explained that measures will be implemented both before and after December to reduce traffic congestion and minimise the inconvenience caused by the road closure.

“We will implement measures to reduce traffic congestion caused by the road closure,” she assured.

She added that the government remains committed to ensuring that the ongoing construction causes as little disruption as possible to businesses and road users in the affected area.
