“The officer had contracted the carpenter to produce a piece of furniture for him. The carpenter explained that the type of wood the officer wanted to be used for the furniture was scarce and will delay in executing the job,” a journalist in Tepa, Munkaila Salifu reported.

“But the police officer thought that the carpenter was playing a fast one on him, especially, since he had made part payment, hence, he laid an ambush for him, together with two other officers and attacked the carpenter on a street in Tepa,” Salifu added.

The video shows a woman who attempted to intervene and rescue the carpenter being pushed by the officers.
