At least eight (8) fans of musician Fancy Gadam have been confirmed dead on Friday following a fatal accident.
Several other fans were also wounded in the accident and are currently receiving treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Hundreds of people, mostly fans of the northern-based artiste, had gone to the Tamale Airport to welcome Fancy Gadam and his Nigerian counterpart, Patoranking for a show scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2018.

The accident is said to have occurred when a vehicle conveying some of the overzealous fans, collided with an oncoming vehicle that had a tyre burst, causing the driver to veer off the road.

Another vehicle carrying public address system and branded in Zylofon Cash colours was also involved in the accident.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.

Fancy Gadam won the most popular song of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his hit song “Total Cheat.”
