Beating of drums and chanting characterized day three of the final funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa Afia Kobi Ampem II in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi.

Hundreds thronged the Manhyia Palace as the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II sat in state from morning to dusk at Dwabrem in the Manhyia Palace to receive sympathizers as part of activities to mark final funeral rites of his late mother.
As you may know, burial rites have already been held for the Queen mother who passed away in 2016 at the age of 109.
Chiefs in the Ashanti region and dignitaries have gathered at the grounds in attendance of the funeral of the late queen mother.
