Ghana’s Black Starlets have arrived safely in Ivory Coast ahead of their scheduled two international friendly matches against the Young Elephants.

The team departed Ghana at 13:30 GMT on Sunday and landed in Abidjan approximately an hour later, marking the beginning of the next phase of preparations for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The delegation, comprising players, technical staff and management officials, is expected to proceed to Ebimpe, where both matches will be played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium.

The friendly encounters, set for April 27 and April 30, will provide the Black Starlets with a valuable test against a strong Ivorian side as they continue fine-tuning for the continental championship.

With the squad now in Ivory Coast, focus shifts to training sessions and tactical drills as the coaching staff work to sharpen the team ahead of the important fixtures.

Ghana has been drawn in Group D of the tournament alongside Senegal, Algeria and South Africa, presenting a difficult challenge in the competition to be staged in Morocco later this year.
