Six years after the death of his father, Sam Kofi Mills, son of late President John Evans Atta Mills, says the vacuum created by his father is yet to be filled.

He made the comments at a brief ceremony to mark his father’s 6th anniversary at the “Asomdwe” Park near the Osu Castle where the former president was interred.

Family members and leading National Democratic Congress party were present to grace the event.

Commenting on the anniversary, Sam Mills said lots of people have been there for him after his father’s demise but none can replace him.

It gets to a point where you need to have role models. I had a lot of moments with my dad. Travelling with him and his presence helped shape my life. Waking up in the morning doing devotion and now doing it on my own… He was the father type. I cannot replace him with anyone. People will come in but it will never be the same”, he said.
