There is uneasy calm at Ardayman in Amasaman in the Greater Accra region after some thugs murdered the Development Chief for the area Nii Tettey Sarbah last Thursday dawn over what is suspected to be a feud over land.
Nii Sarbah was part of a retinue of chiefs performing some purification rites at the Ardayman stool House when some thugs entered and started shooting sporadically.
A visit to the stool house Monday morning revealed about four bullet holes on a section of the building.
The room where the Development Chief was murdered was also stained with blood.
Some residents who spoke to Joynews Maxwell Agbagba said they could not identify the assailants because they has to run for their lives.
The sporadic shooting, they added lasted hours until 5: am Monday morning when they gave to find the lifeless body of their development chief.
Both men and women Ardayman said they are living in fear.
