Minister for Science, Environment, Technology and Innovations, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, has suggested that his party’s main opponents, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are bereft of ideas and policies ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Prof Boateng has claimed in an interview on Asempa FM‘s Ekosii Sen that the NDC under the leadership of John Mahama was not ready to govern the country.

The minister has also sought to suggest that there are ‘two NDCs’ in Ghana; Rawlings’ NDC and the Mills/Mahama NDC.

“NDC has nothing better to offer Ghanaians. Mills/Mahama’s NDC should go back to their roots which is the Rawlings’ NDC and re-learn because the current NDC has no ideology to stand on,” he said in the interview on Tuesday.

On his party’s chances ahead of the elections, Prof Boateng said it would not be fair to vote the NPP out of office after the number of achievements by the Akufo-Addo-led government in its first tenure of office.
