The National Security Council has denied claims of torture of an editor of Modern Ghana online news portal, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri when in their custody.

Mr Abugri and two others were arrested on Thursday by personnel from the National Security for their alleged involvement in cyber-crimes.

Speaking in an interview on Joy News on Monday, Mr Abugri said he was tortured and cried like a baby.

However, in a statement issued by National Security, the outfit said the allegations by the editor are false
