Midnight fire destroys container shop at Effiduase

A midnight fire outbreak has destroyed goods and partially damaged a container shop at Effiduase near the Prison Quarters in Koforidua.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, firefighters responded swiftly after receiving a distress call shortly after midnight.

By the time emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the shop was already fully engulfed in flames.

The blaze destroyed several items, including perishable goods, personal care products, and an electricity meter, while parts of the container structure were also damaged.

Firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the fire before it spread to adjoining shops and nearby properties.

No injuries or fatalities were recorded in the incident.

Authorities say investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
