Renowned American gospel musician Don Moen has marked his 53rd wedding anniversary in a rather unconventional way, by taking a purposeful trip to Ghana.
According to Don Moen, the main purpose of the trip is to honour his wife’s personal desire to experience walking through a muddy construction environment, a moment he described as part of their anniversary celebration.
To fulfill her wish, they paid a visit to the Royal Seed School construction project site, where new dormitories are currently being built to improve student accommodation and learning conditions.
The couple was accompanied to the site, where they observed ongoing works and interacted briefly with workers engaged on the project.
While at the site, Don Moen also expressed gratitude to supporters and donors who have contributed towards the school project, noting that their efforts were making a meaningful impact on students’ lives.
He described the anniversary as both a personal milestone and an opportunity to appreciate life, service and shared experiences.
