Student Mela has been crowned winner of the second edition of the MacLoi Impact Stars (MiS) 2026 pageant held in Tema over the weekend.
The grand finale featured four contestants who competed in various segments including debates, talent display, idea pitching and more.
The event attracted traditional leaders, students and supporters who turned up to cheer on their preferred contestants.
After a combination of judges’ scores, public votes and overall performance, the contestant from Jomoro in the Western Region emerged winner.
Fafa placed first runner-up, while Maabena and Phedicia secured second and third runner-up positions respectively.

Speaking to Adom News, Mela expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“I am very excited about this honour. I thank God and everyone who supported me. This is the beginning of greater things,” she said.
She also appreciated traditional leaders who travelled from Mpeteba in the Jomoro area of the Western Region to support her.

The MacLoi Impact Stars is an initiative of the McLoi Impact Foundation, an organisation focused on youth development.
Founded by students Mckenzi Abeasi Damprani and Lois Atsufe Quarcoo, the initiative aims to empower Africa’s next generation of changemakers by nurturing young talents through challenges focused on creativity, communication and social impact.
