President John Dramani Mahama may have travelled to Jamaica for official talks and diplomatic engagements, but he found time to embrace the island’s rich cultural heartbeat.
During his official state visit to the Caribbean nation, the President surprised onlookers when he joined members of the Rastafarian community to play a traditional drum.

He also shared lighthearted moments with the natives who teased on the legalization of cannabis.
The lighthearted moment comes after President Mahama’s visit to the iconic Bob Marley Museum in Kingston.
His stop at the Bob Marley Museum was symbolic, given the reggae legend’s global influence and his long-standing connection to Africa, especially Ghana, where he visited in 1978 during the country’s independence anniversary celebrations.
