Ghana Football Association vice-president,  George Afriyie, who doubles as the Director for Liberty Professionals Football Club has stated clearly that the Dansoman-based club is not for sale.
His claim comes after reports that the current majority shareholder Felix Ansong is financially stressed, therefore the only way to lessen the financial  burden of the club to sell it.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show ,Mr.Afriyie who refuted all claims relating to the sale of the club said ,”Liberty Professionals FC has not been put on sale”.
“I don’t know where you got this information from,but Mr.Felix Ansong  is still the president of Liberty Professionals”,he added.
Liberty Professionals are credited with unearthing and development of players to the various national teams who have made huge impacts in the world of football.
Several world-class stars including Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan alongside other top stars Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien, John Panstil, Derek Boateng are all products of the club.
