Bechem United striker, Abednego Tetteh has explained that the club offered him GHC50.00 for transportation and not GHC10.00 as reported in the media.

Abednego Tetteh told Adom Sports that he and other players in the team were offered GHC50.00 each for transportation at the end of the season.

“I had a chat with somebody concerning the money Bechem United gave me at the end of the season. I was given GHC50.00 for transportation and they told us we will hear from the management of the team but when I got home the money left on me was only GHC10.00.

“I never said I was given GHC10.00 but it was rather the person I had the conversation with who misquoted what I said…,” he said.

According to him, the he has since explained the issue to the management of the club.

“I have explained the whole scenario to them and I have apologized to the team as well because the management of the team felt very bad about the issue…,” he added.

Asked if he will be with the club for the 2016/17 season with Kotoko and Wa All Stars chasing his signature, he said:

“As a footballer, if a club wants to sign you, you have to move on so if Bechem United decides to sell me to either local or foreign club, I am ready to join them but I wish I stay here and take part in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.

“I will only leave if that club will help me to develop but as it stands I am still with Bechem United.” Abednego added.
