An 18-year-old man, Kwame Afrifa is currently in the grips of the Assin Damang police for allegedly threatening to behead Ebusuapanyin Kwasi Opong of Assin Darmang in the Central Region.
Chief of Assin Darmang, Nana Fensi Esiam II who narrated the incident to Adom News’ Alfred Amoh said the suspect, Kwame Afrifa is part of some gang who smoke and sell marijuana (wee), and engage in other criminal activities in a cemetery in the metropolis.
He said the only crime Ebusuapanyin Kwasi Opong committed was to prevent the young men from engaging in those acts.
Nana Esiam II noted that his advice did not go down well  with Kwame who threatened to behead him for disrupting their activities.
He said stealing of motorbikes, bicycles, laptops, mobile phones, and other appliances and fraudulent acts are very common in the area.
“Activities of young guys in this area are very sickening. They have resorted to smoking wee, buying and selling wee to innocent ones in a cemetery.
“So Ebusuapanyin Kwasi Opong who pounced on them asked them to desist from it only for them to threaten to behead him” he said.
He said Ebusuapanyin Kwasi Oppong who expressed shock at the conduct of the youth reported the incident the police which led to the arrest of Kwame Afrifa.
Nana Fensi Esiam II observed that danger would befall the town if immediate steps were not taken to save most of the young people.
