Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President and a Director of Accra Great Olympics, Fred Pappoe, says the club is ready to defend themselves from any unfair sanctions that will be meted out to them by the FA.
This comment comes after Accra Great Olympics Football Club took a legal action against the Association earlier this week.
The Wonder Club, on Monday, served the GFA with an injunction, to halt all activities related to the start of 2017/18 Ghana Premier League.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Mr.Pappoe stated: “We are ready to defend ourselves from any unfair sanctions meted to us. Nobody can intimidate Great Olympics; I dare anyone to do so”.
“We went to court because we realized the GFA wasn’t ready to resolve the issue at hand. The system is not fair”.
“We are not contesting Bechem United or any other team; we are dealing with the FA”
Olympics are crying foul after their protests against unqualified players fielded by Bechem United and Elmina Sharks were thrown out despite having proof.
The disciplinary committee of the FA annulled both cases which according to the constitution merits a deduction of six points.
Olympics will be eligible to play in the league if points are deducted.
