Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr, father of popular highlife musician and songwriter, Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr has admonished artistes to exercise patience in releasing their songs.

He told Accra based TV3 that artistes should not be in a hurry to release songs because they are in competition with other artistes.

To him, song writing requires the use of all the human senses to make it appealing to the audience.

“Artistes must take time, sit down and relax for their music. When writing, your ears, eyes, nose, mouth and everything involved must be in contact with your music,” he explained.

According to the highlife singer, music is a venture that can lead to disgrace when done in a rush.

He further advised artistes to be particularly cautious when releasing hit songs.

“Don’t think after your first hit the crowd will be ready for the next because they expect that the second should be an improvement of the first,” he cautioned.

Relating music to cars, he said car manufacturers take their time to produce, hence musicians should do likewise.
