AUDIO+PHOTOS: Suspected thief beaten to pulp at Kasoa

A 20-year-old driver’s mate has received the beating of his life from some angry youth at Kasoa, near an ECG office in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
An eyewitness who spoke to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said the suspect whose name was only given as Dauda was beaten to pulp Sunday night when he admitted stealing one of the traders’ cloths.

He said the man was left naked in a pool of blood in a gutter in front of a pharmacy shop in the area little life left in him.

His accomplices are said to be at large with the booty.
Dauda’s mother, Salia Aishatu, who could not control her tears said her son wasn’t a thief, questioning why he wasn’t taken to a police station rather than they taking the law into their hands.

Meanwhile, the Kasoa Divisional police commander, ACP Agyeman Adjem who confirmed the incident to Adom News said Dauda has been admitted at the hospital because his condition was very critical.
He said they were waiting for the suspect to recover in order to commence investigations into the matter.
