The Ghana Police Service has called on prophets in the country to make praying for service members a priority.
Public Relations Officer at the Police Head Quarters, ACP David Aklu, says instead of prophets predicting doom for the police service, they should rather pray to avert the danger they foresee.
“We need prayers in the police service and I want to urge the prophets of doom that instead of predicting deaths of police officers, they should rather pray for us and pray to stop those bad news” he said.

ACP David Aklu’s comment follows predictions by the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah and Leader and Founder of Church of Rabi, Prophet Kwabena Tawiah that the country will hear of rampant deaths of many police officers in 2018.
Revealing a tall list of prophecies for the year 2018, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah said although it is appointed for every man to die once, some deaths are not sanctioned by God and called on Ghanaians to pray for police personnel.
He said “It should not be said that prophesies that are revealed are repetitive because we only share what we see…. Let us remember Ghana Police in our prayers, otherwise we will hear of rampant deaths of officers within the force.”

Also in a 31st December 2017 prophetic service, Prophet Tawiah revealed chiefs, senior police officers, lawyers are among a long list of prominent people who are likely to pass away this year.
But ACP David Aklu indicated that preaching peace and working for nation-building should be their resolve and called on these prophets to rather pray for the police in order to discharge their duties effectively.
