The Ghana Police have arrested two of the seven suspects who escaped from the Kwabenya Police cell on Sunday dawn, the Inspector General of police (IGP), David Asante Appeatu, has said.

The IGP made the disclosure at a press briefing in Accra, Thursday.
According to him, another suspect, Kofi Acheampong believed to be the spiritual father of the suspects and the source of weapons supplied to the criminals was also arrested at Afienya in Accra on Wednesday.

He said the two, Attah Kwadwo, 20, and Prince Osei, 27, were arrested at Worawora in the Volta Region on Monday.
Three other persons including a 28-year-old woman by name Nancy Bentaa have also been arrested by the police to aid in investigations.

He said items such as coffin, skeletons were found at the place of arrest.
Mr Appeatu said a lot of intelligence has been gathered by the police to close in on the remaining 5.
A policeman was killed in a dawn attack on Sunday after armed men invaded the Atomic Hill Police station at Kwabenya in Accra. At least seven armed robbery suspects broke jail and have since been on the run.
