A yet-to-be-identified man has been found hanging on a cashew tree in the Kasoa Prison farms near Gomoa Budumburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

It is not clear what would have pushed the man, believed to be in his late 40’s, to commit the act as he left behind no suicide note.

An Environmental Officer with the Gomoa East Sub Metro, Lawrence Ansah, who spoke to Adom News said his outfit went to the scene after a distress call.

“We rushed to the scene with the police officers and found the man between who we believe is 40 to 45 years hanging on the tree dead but we don’t know who his relatives are or where he comes from,” he said.

Lawrence Ansah appealed to the General public to help them to identify the man or establish contact with the family.

Meanwhile, the Gomoa Budumburam police have deposited the body at the Police Hospital with investigations still ongoing.
