Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has received a major career boost after earning a nomination for the 2025/26 Danish Superliga Player of the Season award following an outstanding campaign with FC Nordsjælland.
The highly-rated youngster was named among eight players shortlisted for the prestigious individual honour by the Danish top-flight league, underlining his impressive development and growing influence in European football.
Yirenkyi has enjoyed a breakthrough season for Nordsjælland, emerging as one of the club’s most reliable performers in midfield. The former Right to Dream Academy talent has attracted attention with his composure in possession, work rate and maturity beyond his age.
The Ghanaian midfielder has featured prominently throughout the campaign, making 28 appearances while contributing two goals and eight assists for the Danish side.
His performances have played an important role in keeping Nordsjælland competitive in the Superliga and have further strengthened his reputation as one of Ghana’s brightest young prospects abroad.
Yirenkyi faces stiff competition for the award from several standout performers in the league, including Tobias Bech, Tonni Adamsen, Thomas Jørgensen, Franculino Djú, Gift Links, Patrick Pentz and Aral Şimşir.
