A seeming harmless conduct by a ‘whistle blower’ is believed to be the cause of death of a 21-year-old taxi driver, Fredrick Gadlasu at Kade in the Eastern region.

Sister of the deceased, Elizabeth Boakye on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme, Tuesday disclosed that a confidant of the prime suspect, 16-year-old Frema Essuman informed her about plans by her boyfriend to ditch her and marry his baby mama.

The information, she noted, infuriated the young girl who was madly in love with the deceased.

“Frema quickly rushed to my brother’s house and met another girl, only known as Vida in his room. She threatened to kill both of them so my brother managed to sneak Vida out,” she narrated in Twi.

Elizabeth said in an attempt to take the knife from angry Frema, she stabbed my brother in the chest.

She noted that, the suspect, Frema realising what she had done, called for help and his brother was rushed to the Kade Government Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Elizabeth revealed that “the two rivals aged 16 and 18 years have been fighting over my brother for years until his sudden demise.

“Frema leaves closer to me so I advised her to walkout of the relationship but she refused because she was madly in love and now see what has happened,” she bemoaned.
