Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Kojo Allotey Jacobs, has expressed excitement over the release of the first tranche of the Chinese development loan, known as the Sinohydro deal.

Welcoming the news, the social commentator said the project will help improve the lives of the people engaged in economic activities along the roads mentioned in the project.

The former NDC chairman said he will personally benefit from the project since roads in the Central region have been mentioned as part of the roads to benefit from the deal.
“This deal is very good and needs to be welcomed. I will personally benefit from it because of the roads to be constructed in my region and others as well. This deal will improve the lives of the people within and around those areas as regards to their economic activities,” he said on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem.
