Former Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Mr. Jarvis Peprah has added his voice to the many remembering Alhaji Hearts, following the latter’s demise.
He says though the rivalry between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko exist, the Hearts of Oak man in all his dealings, always wanted the best for both clubs.
For Mr. Peprah, Alhaji Hearts did not allow the rivalry to hold back his advice and goodwill for the Porcupine Warriors; rather, he sought to see both clubs rise and lift Ghana football at large.
“Alhaji Hearts will always call me and advise me on how to run the club and will never end a conversation without extending his greetings to our Chief Patron, the King of Ashanti kingdom”.
He was a unifier and will even call me from far away Mecca to tell me he is praying for me and Asante Kotoko. He was never selfish; he saw the rivalry as a way to make clubs better and did not extent it off the pitch”, he told Asempa Fm.
The former public relations officer and Board member of Asante Kotoko concluded by extending his profound condolences to Hearts of Oak and said such a great sportsman in Alhaji Hearts will always be remembered.
