The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved a filing fee of GH¢100,000 for aspirants seeking to contest the party’s National Chairman position as part of arrangements for its upcoming national executive elections.
The approved fee structure covers 14 national executive positions, with the National Chairman position attracting the highest amount and membership of the National Executive Committee (NEC) the lowest at GH¢10,000.
Under the schedule, aspirants seeking to contest for General Secretary and National Vice Chairman will pay GH¢80,000 each, while those vying for the National Organiser position are required to pay GH¢70,000.
The filing fee for Deputy General Secretary is GH¢60,000, the same amount required of National Vice Chairman aspirants under the approved schedule.
Aspirants for the National Communication Officer position will pay GH¢50,000, while those contesting for National Youth Organiser and National Zongo Caucus Coordinator will each pay GH¢40,000.
The Deputy National Organiser, Deputy National Communication Officer and Deputy National Youth Organiser positions each attract a filing fee of GH¢30,000.
The same amount applies to aspirants for National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser, subject to the special provisions for female candidates with disabilities.
Meanwhile, aspirants seeking membership of the National Executive Committee will pay GH¢10,000, the lowest filing fee under the approved arrangement.
In addition to the filing fees, all aspirants are required to pay GH¢2,000 to obtain nomination forms.
The party has also introduced concessions for female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs), who will pay 50 per cent of the approved filing fees for the various positions.
The concession, however, excludes female candidates contesting for National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser.
All payments are to be made online through the party’s designated platform, forms.ghanandc.com.

The fees form part of the NDC’s preparations for its internal elections to select national officers responsible for the party’s administration and organisational activities.
