The newly elected national leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by National Chairman John Boadu, has paid a courtesy visit to former President John Agyekum Kufuor to seek his advice as they take charge of the party’s affairs.

The visit was intended to formally introduce the new executives to the former President and draw on his experience and knowledge of the party’s history and traditions.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, October 8, 2026, Mr Boadu described the engagement as an opportunity for the new leadership to learn from the former President’s guidance.

“Today, I had the distinct honour of leading our newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on a courtesy call on His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic of Ghana and a revered statesman of our Party,” he said.

Mr Boadu said the delegation listened to Mr Kufuor’s advice, reflecting on the responsibilities that come with leading the party at a critical time.

He said the new executives were determined to strengthen internal unity, reinforce the party’s structures and build on its established traditions as they work towards future electoral success.

“As a new leadership, we are committed to building on the Party’s rich history, strengthening our unity, deepening our structures, and working tirelessly to restore the NPP to electoral victory,” Mr Boadu added.

The meeting forms part of the new executives’ engagements following their election as they begin their tenure at the helm of the party.
