Two people are fighting for their lives at the hospital after a Nissan Patrol V8 reportedly crashed into their motorcycle near the China Mall traffic intersection in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the vehicle was travelling from the Koforidua Technical University stretch when it collided with the motorcycle as the riders negotiated a curve leading towards the China Mall area.

Accra-based Citi News reported that the collision was severe, throwing both motorcycle occupants onto the road and detaching the motorcycle’s engine from its body.

After the impact, the Nissan Patrol veered off the road and crashed into the retaining walls behind the China Mall.

The condition of the vehicle’s driver remains unknown.

Passers-by and taxi drivers who witnessed the accident reportedly assisted in rushing the two injured motorcycle occupants to the hospital for medical attention.
