The Ghana Education Service (GES) is rolling out EduPack packages to Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) as part of efforts to reduce the amount of personal luggage students take to boarding school and help curb bedbug infestations.
Prospectus Ghana Ltd. has been contracted to distribute the packages to schools nationwide between August 1 and September 10, 2026.
According to the GES, the initiative is intended to make students’ movement to school easier by reducing the need to carry bulky personal belongings from home.
The Service also expects the move to help schools tackle bedbug infestations, which can be associated with personal items brought into boarding facilities.
Heads of schools have therefore been directed to put in place the necessary arrangements to receive the packages and cooperate with officials of Prospectus Ghana Ltd. during the distribution exercise.
Regional Directors of Education have also been tasked with informing school heads in their respective regions about the distribution arrangements.
“The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all Heads of Senior High Schools(SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) that Prospectus Ghana Ltd. will distribute EduPack Packages to schools from 1st August to 10th September, 2026,” the Service said.
The GES urged school authorities to support the exercise to ensure the smooth distribution of the packages.
Schools and other stakeholders who require further information have been directed to contact the Service on 0507000753 or 0500600607.
