The Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa East, Desmond De-Graft Paitoo, together with the District Chief Executive, Margaret Naana Ackom, has supported 250 brilliant but needy Senior High School (SHS) freshers.
The beneficiaries received mattresses, trunks, rubber buckets, and exercise books.

The initiative, spearheaded by Mr. De-Graft Paitoo and Naana Ackom, is aimed at ensuring that financial difficulties do not prevent brilliant students from pursuing their education.
Speaking to Adom News, Mr. De Graft Paitoo urged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously, cautioning them against engaging in social vices.

Madam Ackom added that the government remains committed to supporting children to access education and reducing the high illiteracy rate in the district.

She urged parents and beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity and work hard to achieve their educational goals.
