Following the funeral of Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo, her husband has announced a cancer-care initiative aimed at turning part of her entrepreneurial legacy into support for others.
As the family moves to revive a business Beverly worked hard to build, GH¢1 from every shawarma sold will be donated to the Breast Cancer Centre at Korle Bu.
In announcing the initiative, ChoirMaster said the decision was inspired by Beverly’s vision and the family’s desire to ensure that her work continues to make an impact beyond her lifetime.
“A dream she worked hard to build. Now, it is our responsibility to make sure that dream continues, grows and becomes a household name and a lasting legacy.”
He has consequently invited colleagues in the entertainment industry, media personalities, friends, family and members of the public to support the initiative by patronising the business and helping spread the word.
Every contribution, however small, is part of keeping Beverly’s legacy alive while helping others.
