Renowned media personality Cynthia Tima Yeboah famed Tima Kumkum has put swirling rumours to an end as she confirms her marriage ended after a year and nine months.

She revealed exclusively in an interview on Joy Prime that she and her husband have been living separately since April 1, 2025, with their divorce currently before the court.

Tima said she had deliberately kept the matter private because she did not want to discuss the reasons behind the separation publicly. However, amid persistent questions about her relationship status, she decided to address the issue herself.

“We don’t live together. I’m unbothered by any criticism. We need to call a spade a spade. You can’t hide it forever. When I was getting married everyone saw it so if it has ended, they need to know”

Tima described herself as “partially single”, explaining that although they are separated, she is not legally divorced yet.

The couple got married on July 15, 2023, in a ceremony that attracted considerable public attention, including on social media. Tima admitted that she never imagined the marriage would eventually end.

Despite the separation, she acknowledged her husband’s role as a father, describing him as a responsible parent who continues to take care of their child.

On the question of custody, she indicated that the matter was being handled appropriately.

Tima also spoke about her healing process, admitting that the experience had not been easy but she has gradually been doing better.

She recalled that some of the public reactions to wedding-related content on social media had affected her, particularly because many people were unaware that she and her husband had already separated.

Now, she says the remaining step is largely the legal process.

At this stage of her life, marriage is the last thing on her mind, as she chooses instead to focus on the present and allow the future to unfold.

As she turns 40 next month, she said she remains hopeful about what lies ahead, even as she waits for the court process to formally bring the marriage to an end.
