Founder and leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel, Nigel Gaisie, has revealed that his home was severely flooded following the heavy rains that swept across parts of the country.

In a message shared with members of his church, the pastor disclosed that although he and his household are safe, they encountered significant losses.

Despite being affected by the flooding, his immediate concern is the safety and well-being of members who may have also suffered the impact of the downpour.

He called on any church member who had been displaced or was in urgent need of food, shelter, medical assistance or safe transportation to immediately contact the church for support.

The pastor also urged members to prioritise their safety by avoiding flood-prone areas, remaining indoors where possible and ensuring their mobile phones remain charged in case of emergencies.

Nonetheless, Nigel Gaisie expressed optimism, saying he believes the difficult moment will eventually give way to a better outcome.

His appeal comes as several parts of Accra and other communities continue to recover from widespread flooding caused by Monday’s torrential rains.

Over 12 lives have been lost with 7 persons missing and a staggering 7,761 households affected.

Rescue efforts are still ongoing as authorities continue to assess the situation.
