The ongoing strike by the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has forced the University of Education, Winneba Hospital to temporarily suspend Outpatient Department (OPD) services.

Patients seeking outpatient care at the facility will be unable to access it until further notice due to this development.

According to a notice from the hospital to patients and visitors, the suspension will remain in effect until the strike is called off.

“Please be informed that Outpatient Department (OPD) services have been suspended due to the ongoing GAUA strike,” the notice reads.

The hospital apologised for the inconvenience this might cause and advised patients to contact the hospital administration for further information.

“OPD services will resume when the strike is called off,” the notice added.
