Ho Central Education Director urges calm among 2026 BECE candidates

The Ho Central Municipal Director of Education, Esther Yeboah Adzimah, has encouraged candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination to remain confident and not be overwhelmed by fear as the exams begin on Monday, May 4.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News correspondent, Odehyeba Owusu Job, she urged students to trust in their preparation and strive to make the municipality proud.

“Do not disappoint us as you embark on your BECE on Monday. Take away the fear of examinations from yourselves and make Ho Central proud,” she advised.

Mrs. Adzimah also expressed appreciation to the Member of Parliament for Ho Central for supporting candidates with essential learning materials ahead of the exams.

According to her, the MP’s donation of mathematical sets to 3,232 candidates across the municipality will significantly reduce the burden on parents and help students adequately prepare.

The gesture has been widely praised by teachers, parents, and students, many of whom describe it as both timely and impactful.

She further reminded candidates to remain disciplined, stay focused, and strictly adhere to examination rules throughout the period.

The 2026 BECE began nationwide on Monday, May 4 and it expected to run until, Monday, May 11, 2026.
