NDC executives mourn late North Tongu chairman

Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region have paid tribute to the late North Tongu Constituency Chairman, C.K. Akaho Tay, describing his passing as a major loss to the party.

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, led the tributes, extending condolences to constituents and the bereaved family.

In a message, Ablakwa described the late chairman as a “gallant” party stalwart, strategist, and devoted cadre who played a key role in securing several political victories within the constituency.

He noted that the late C.K. Akaho Tay worked closely with him and left behind a legacy of dedication and impactful leadership that will not be forgotten.

Ablakwa revealed that he had visited the family at Mepe, where he, together with the Volta Regional Minister, the Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, members of the NDC Volta Chairmen’s Caucus, as well as constituency and branch executives, formally extended their condolences.

The delegation also signed a book of condolence in honour of the late party chairman.

He assured that the NDC would duly honour the memory of the late Akaho Tay, adding that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

The MP further stated that the thoughts and prayers of the party remain with the family and close associates during this difficult period.
