The Gariba Mohammed Mustapha, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Akrofuom, has officially handed over a newly constructed three-unit classroom block to Manukrom D/A Basic School in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region to enhance teaching and learning.

The facility, designed for Junior High School students, is expected to reduce congestion and provide a more conducive environment for academic activities in the community.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the DCE highlighted that the Manukrom community had long faced challenges with inadequate educational infrastructure, with most existing facilities built through the efforts and limited resources of residents rather than government support.

He urged community leaders and residents to maintain the new classroom block to ensure its longevity and continued benefit for future generations. He also cautioned the youth against misusing the facility for inappropriate activities.

The Acting District Director of Education for Adansi Akrofuom, Charles Clifford Baah, said the new classrooms would boost student morale and enhance effective teaching and learning.

He further appealed to the government and relevant authorities to provide teachers’ accommodation in the district to attract and retain qualified educators.

Residents expressed gratitude for the project, describing it as a significant step toward improving educational conditions and opportunities for children in Manukrom
