The Nkoranza Traditional Council has enstooled Nana Kwasi Agyei III as the Krontihene, ending a 12-year vacancy that had hindered leadership cohesion and development within the traditional area.

The installation of the 49-year-old businessman marks a significant milestone for the council, which had struggled to fill the key position, resulting in disunity and weakened governance structures.

The enstoolment forms part of ongoing efforts by the Nana Kwame Baffoe IV, Nkoranzamanhene, to fully reconstitute the Traditional Council and strengthen its leadership framework.

With all divisional chiefs, sub-chiefs, and the Queen Mother now playing their respective roles, the council is expected to function more effectively.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV described the installation as a crucial step toward restoring stability and unity after years of leadership challenges. He noted that the prolonged absence of a Krontihene had created a leadership gap that affected coordination and development initiatives in the traditional area.

He urged Nana Kwasi Agyei III to foster unity among the Krontihene family and across Nkoranza, cautioning against actions that could fuel division, including selective justice, arrogance, and factionalism. The Nkoranzamanhene expressed confidence in the new Krontihene’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the growth and transformation of the area.

Several divisional chiefs and queen mothers who spoke to Adom News welcomed the development, expressing optimism about the future of the Traditional Council.

They said the appointment of a substantive Krontihene would enhance leadership coordination, promote peace, and support development efforts in the Nkoranza Traditional Area. The traditional leaders also pledged their support to Nana Kwasi Agyei III, expressing hope that his leadership would usher in stability and progress.
