Mohammed Kudus is a brilliant player – Everton boss David Moyes

Everton manager David Moyes has lauded Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus for his outstanding start to life at Tottenham Hotspur.

Kudus joined Spurs from West Ham United during the summer transfer window in a £55 million deal, signing a five-year contract with the North London side.

The 25-year-old has wasted little time making an impact, emerging as one of the Premier League’s most creative players this season. He currently tops the assist chart alongside Manchester City’s Jack Grealish with four assists.

“He’s a brilliant player,” Moyes said before Everton’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. “He has so many attributes to his game. He is a great boy to work with. I hugely enjoyed managing him.”

The Scottish coach also praised Kudus’s physicality and tactical versatility, describing them as key components of his success.

“He has great balance, can’t be knocked off the ball, and can play inside or outside,” the Scotsman noted. “He can play several positions if you want him.”

Kudus enjoyed a prolific debut campaign at West Ham, scoring 18 goals in all competitions, before sealing his high-profile switch to Tottenham.

“He’s just finding his form at Tottenham,” Moyes added. “From a distance, he looks like their best buy of the summer.”

Kudus will look to maintain his fine form when Tottenham face Newcastle United in the EFL Cup before hosting Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
