Titus Owusu Darko elected NUGS Secretary for Innovation and Skills Development

In a remarkable show of support, Titus Owusu Darko, the 23rd General Secretary of the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), has been elected as the 59th NUGS Secretary for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Skills Development.

Darko clinched 1,366 votes, representing an impressive 98.84% of the total votes cast, in an election that underscored his popularity among Ghanaian students both locally and abroad.

His resounding victory reflects confidence in his leadership qualities, built on merit, discipline, and a clear commitment to student advancement.

Peers describe him as an inspiring leader with the ability to mobilise and unite young people toward common goals.

Darko’s strong performance during vetting, where he scored 73.85%, further demonstrated his readiness for national student leadership.

His supporters highlight his integrity, vision, and passion for promoting innovation and skills development across campuses.

Following his election, Darko expressed deep gratitude to students for their trust and support. He pledged to champion initiatives that expand opportunities for young people in entrepreneurship and skills training, ensuring no student is left behind.
