Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have confirmed the appointment of Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as the club’s new head coach.
The highly experienced tactician has signed a two-year contract with the Phobians, replacing Aboubakar Ouattara at the helm.
Dramani’s first assignment will be to prepare the team for the upcoming 2025 President’s Cup clash against rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium next month.
Dramani, a former coach of the Right to Dream Academy, boasts an impressive résumé, having guided Asante Kotoko to back-to-back Premier League titles during his previous stint in the local top flight.
Since then, he has taken on several national team roles, including head coach of the Black Maidens and Black Queens, as well as assistant coach of the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This appointment marks Dramani’s return to the Ghana Premier League for the first time since his departure from Kotoko in 2013.
He will be tasked with reviving Hearts of Oak’s fortunes after the club finished fourth in the 2024/25 Premier League and exited the FA Cup at the Round of 16 stage.
