Asante Kotoko have officially parted ways with goalkeeper Frederick Asare following the expiration of his contract.
The 25-year-old, who took over the captaincy from Ibrahim Danlad, endured a tough 2024/25 season, losing his starting spot to Mohammed Camara.
Asare featured in just 15 league matches, recording seven clean sheets and conceding 12 goals in the process.
Kotoko confirmed his departure on Thursday, marking the end of his three-year stint with the club.
Fredrick Asare leaves the club following the expiration of his contract.

Since joining the Porcupine Warriors from Accra Lions in 2022, Asare enjoyed some memorable moments, notably helping the club win the 2025 MTN FA Cup and earning a call-up to the Black Stars.
Following his exit, the experienced goalkeeper has already attracted interest from several clubs, with Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars and Medeama reportedly keen on signing him.
