The 2014 National best farmer who is also the Akuafo Hemaa for Asante Akyeam Agogo, Nana Akosua Tewiah has called on government to support farmers.

Speaking to Adom News, Ohemaa Akosua Tewiah expressed hope that government will help them to undertake the processing of farm produce into neat fufu, plantain chips as part of the one-district-one-factory to develop the plantain business in the Asante Akyem North District.

Ohemaa Akosua Tewiah said this when she was honoured by the Omanhene of Asante Akyem Agogo, Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong  with the name Okyerapa Hemaa on Sunday  January 6, 2019.

The ceremony was held to recognize her good work towards the development of the Asante Akyem Agogo North Municipal area of the Ashanti Region.

The linguist of Asante Akyem Agogoman, Nana Boakye Yidom who spoke on behalf of the chief, Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong stated the district will continue to reward people who demonstrate good works towards the development of Asante Akyem Agogo.
